Madison Square Garden – New

Used sporting goods San Francisco, CA

ReMatch Sports is a new concept consignment sport equipment store - online and with a physical presence.

Our flagship store has just opened in San Francisco's Russian/Nob Hill neighborhood.

We sell new and used sporting equipment, and will buy on consignment used equipment from members of the community.

reMatch integrates the convenience of online shopping with the higher-level service of a retail store and the lower-cost of gently used sports equipment. Instead of spending hours online searching for an item in marketplaces like eBay and Craigslist, sports enthusiasts can visit this website and search for what they need.

They can then test out the equipment in reMatch's Nob Hill retail store, which will feature gear for sports like cycling, kayaking, golf, kite-surfing, windsurfing, skiing, snowboarding, and various others. In a difficult economic climate, we will give Bay Area sports enthusiasts the chance to engage in their favorite activities in a cost-efficient manner.

History

Established in 2009.

Given the spectrum of sporting activities available here in SF, my exuberance for all things active led me to wanting to take part in all of them. But many sports meant spending a lot of money on purchasing new equipment, and limited my storage space for new and old equipment.

I turned to online marketplaces to sell my equipment and find lower-cost, used equipment. After many frustrating buying and selling experiences later, I thought there had to be a better way.

As a locally-owned sporting goods store in SF, I hope to become part of the fabric of the Bay Area's sporting activities. Partnering with charitable and green organizations is one of my priorities as reMatch Sports grows and develops.

reMatch is allowing me to turn my passion for the outdoors and an active lifestyle into a career. Through it, I hope to be able to give others access to so many of the activities I feel helped shape my personality - and hopefully provide that access in a more cost effective manner.

Meet the Business Owner

Given the spectrum of sporting activities available here in SF, my exuberance for all things active led me to wanting to take part in all of them. But I quickly encountered two significant constraints. Participating in so many sports meant spending a lot of money on purchasing new equipment, and living in a small apartment limited my storage space for new and old equipment.

I soon turned to online marketplaces to sell my equipment and find lower-cost, used equipment. As good of a service as eBay and Craigslist both provide, the sale of sporting equipment is a category ill-suited to their models. After many frustrating buying and selling experiences later, I thought there had to be a better way.

reMatch Sports is allowing me to turn my passion for the outdoors and an active lifestyle into a career. Through it, I hope to be able to give others access to so many of the activities I feel helped shape my personality - and hopefully provide that access in a more cost effective manner.

What are good organic restaurants  in San Francisco, CA?

I like NOPA. It's my favorite restaurant and they have seasonal, organic, local produce along with humanely slaughtered meat (grass-fed and free range often), along with local dairy products. The food there is amazing.
